I Found The Black Pearl

I found the Black Pearl! This is the actual ship used in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean and it is parked in the small marina next to the resort where I am staying in Hawaii this year. I was told that this ship will put out to sea again for more filming. After that, I assume this ship will be moved to the new Disney resort being built just next door.

This is a picture of Disney’s nearly completed Aulani Resort located in Ko Olina, Kapolei HI. It just happens to be next to the Ko Olina Beach Villas where I am staying. The Resort is planned to have 360 hotel rooms and 481 two-bedroom equivalent Disney Vacation Club villas. Click here to visit their official website.

In February 2010, this was the view from my Kapolei, HI beach front condo. Glad I had my camera because you don’t get to experience this sort of paradise very often.
