I found the Black Pearl! This is the actual ship used in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean and it is parked in the small marina next to the resort where I am staying in Hawaii this year. I was told that this ship will put out to sea again for more filming. After that, I assume this ship will be moved to the new Disney resort being built just next door.

A great way to burn some caleries is to hike to the top of Diamond Head crater in Honolulu.

Actually, the only thing that makes this plain old moth rare is the fact that it’s the only one I’ve seen in my kitchen here in Hawaii so far.  A quick little karate chop was all it took to persuade this little guy to help me make a celebrity out of him.  I agree this is a lame macro subject so the next one will be better.

This is a picture of Disney’s nearly completed Aulani Resort located in Ko Olina, Kapolei HI.  It just  happens to be next to the Ko Olina Beach Villas where I am staying.  The Resort is planned to have 360 hotel rooms and 481 two-bedroom equivalent Disney Vacation Club villas.
